NATURAL CURES - MORE THAN HOME REMEDIES

On these pages are natural cures for bleeding that we have used ourselves or have verified with health books. These alternative cures may use herbs, pure essential oils, vitamins, and/or food. They are more than home remedies, folk medicine, or old wives' tales!

A LITTLE BLEEDING IS A HEALTHY THING

If you get a small cut from a clean object, forcing the cut to bleed a little is usually all the first-aid you need. Bleeding can make the dirt and germs flow back out of the body.

Staph bacteria can be found on the skin of most healthy people, and the bacteria can enter the bloodstream, and cause a staph infection, through a cut or scrape. Bleeding is nature's way of keeping these germs from entering. Whenever possible, it is wise to also clean the wound with soap and water, which stings, or with hydrogen peroxide, which does not sting.

If a cut is open, you can close it with one or more butterfly bandages. They even do this is emergency rooms. How many bandages you use depends on how long the cut is.

~ Talk to your doctor before making any major change. Starting a natural remedy may require your doctor to change the dose of your prescription medicines. You can read more about this in our articles.
