Natural Healing for a Black Eye - More Than Home Remedies

An injured eye that turns into a black eye includes swelling and bleeding under the skin. You can use an ice pack if it is larger than the eye so that pressure is not put on the eye itself, and do not lie down on your back so that the pressure is on the eye. Use ice for only 10 minutes at a time.

Applying Vitamin K Creme Plus around the eye will help the blood under the skin to clot and reduce the swelling.

Do not take aspirin for the pain since it helps to prevent clotting. Using aspirin will cause the blackness or discoloration and swelling to increase. Tylenol is fine.

Do not blow your nose until the eye has healed. This can cause more swelling and possibly infection.
